I think all of us agree that an eventual path to citizenship should be offered. Most Americans agree that a path to citizenship is the right way to fix the system. hmm?? I still feel we don't have enough votes in the house to get this done. Most Reps feel that a path to citizenship is an extreme such as deporting 11 million people. So.....

If PTC is a deal breaker, would legalizing 11 million people without barring them from citizenship (and not offering it either), would that work for most of us?
I'm wondering if we should push for Dream Act before any CIR debate in the House because of what's in bold.....but the issue here is that it may have too many pitfalls to be relevant.

If we become citizens we can petition our parents; however, the tricky part would be getting around the 3/10 year ban...

I dunno, having a second class of citizens living in the U.S is unacceptable, but our parents need immediate relief in the midst of racist laws being enacted....

What do you guys think?
I agree, even though there are some holes to fill.

It wouldn't be ideal, but isnt that better than nothing?
If it was up to me everyone would get citizenship, but we have to be realistic. Basically they would get a permanent "work permit". That's a big difference from having no documents. They would be in a better position than people that got daca. We need something that will pass.
Who knows though, maybe things go peachy and theres enough momentum to push for obamas idea of reform, but we shouldnt get picky to the point of passing on a good opportunity.
Signed bills make a difference.
