It is nice but it is also nothing if it doesnt pass. Chances of a bill with obamas stamp to pass are lower than a bipartisan one.

FB dreamers already shooting this idea down, probably the same people who created that "undocumented, unafraid, and unapologetic" slogan.

better than nothing but we will see what the gang of eight have in mind
It said 8 years. You still have LPI though in which an undocumented becomes legal and gets to work and leave the country and comeback also.

What about someone who already has a I-130 filed? So whichever comes first? The I-130 PD or the the 8 years?

Loving this draft!

We don't know how long you can leave the country. Yes, it is almost as good as a GC. It will be interesting to see which gov't benefits one can qualify under LPI. Loving this draft!

It is just a draft. We have to wait for the bill to release.

I think Obama's Admin will do an EO or perhaps another DHS policy if it does not pass!

Its not saying, "Green Requirement: 8 years"

its saying

You can APPLY for a green card WITHIN 8 years, to be APPROVE for green card can take LONGER since the bill would NOT alter our current immigration system which is the point of a reform remember? Remember the whole its broken and whatnot argument?

Oh man...those comments. Talk about entitled and ungrateful. Do they seriously expect amnesty or even more lenient bills can pass right now? I love to live in their fantasy land since it seems much more comfortable than reality.
