There's no need to mention DREAMers since we are safe and both houses have reiterated it. We will probably get a temporary legalization status and a time frame to complete two years in college or the military.

There are still ways to derail the safety train of DREAMers, think ridiculous age cap.

21? 25? 28?

High 20s, low 30s may seem more reasonable...but honestly, I really think it should be no age cap or a really high age cap.

I can see the age limit being 30 +-1 and there being an age cap. The reason why there's going to be an age cap is because it makes the difference between legalizing one million people vs a couple more within a short period of time. Republicans being more fiscally conservative wouldn't agree to a deal in which a lot of people are legalized right away, not only would a deal like this one appeal to them, but also appease them.

Part of me wants to believe that the reason no info on DREAMers has been given, is because they have no disagreements of how to go about treating us.

D: the other part of me tells me there is nothing special and we're just gonna be clumped with the rest.

Yes, I expect a 30 age cap...ala DACA...but the information leaking out regularly about this bill has me shaky, so I am kinda worried that the DREAMer pathway will be scrapped or ruined.

Yep, I'm guessing many of our parents are already old, having to work non stop for 10-20 years...I am very worried.

Sure I was planning on supporting my dad when he was not able to work anymore, but then what happens with his status...he will be chased down for not sweating blood and tears for the remainder of his legal status?

I wonder if Obama or the White House administration is privvy to all these details?

It would make sense if they were.

If Obama really is not involved with the Senate or House talks (like behind closed doors negotiation type of stuff), Then I wonder what would happen next.

Would he be part of a movement to let these CIR bills fail and try to pass his?

Would he just veto this one?

Wow, we can only wait to see...this is going to be a crazy year.
