we already have that though (EAD Card). Traveling outside of USA would be nice though. And being able to take on different jobs and what not.

Just read the outline! It clearly states:
"Immigrants in RPI status can work for any employer and travel outside of the United States."

OMG, YES!!

Read the outline here: http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=44052

I'm really, really hoping that the med schools will accept the DREAMers with the provisional status. I mean, if the whole idea is to accept only those who are intending to stay in the US and practice medicine, DREAMers certainly would qualify, right?

It would be devastating to learn that, after all these years of waiting, pre-med dreamers would have to wait 5 years to start the already 10+ year long path.

It's mostly public universities who don't accept "international" applicants. But there are some schools that do, and they require some sort of legal status, which a conditional status might confer.

We (as in DACA people) don't even have a real legal status right now. It's just a stop-gap measure, after all. If there are schools that are reluctant to accept DREAMers with conditional green cards, if this legislation passes, then that's when you rally with AMSA and advocate for yourself and fellow DREAMers to change that kind of policy at med schools.

I'm at the point in my educational career where, had I been a PR or a USC, would be applying to med school :P. But it ain't gonna happen for awhile, if at all...
