As we are having a number of new members that are joining DAP, we would like to remind every new member to PLEASE read the FAQ. The mods are trying to keep the number of repetitious questions down to a very minimum as DAP members [and non-members] try to locate call lists and post latest news.

you should probably update this because undocumented students from Texas do get financial aid. I'm sure it's not easy, but I've heard people have gotten it.

Number eight's answer should be: Nowhere, just search for stuff using the Search link on top of the page.

I never said they couldn't get financial aid. I just said that no one will be eligible for federal grants and scholarships after DREAM passes.

7. Can I receive federal financial aid for post-secondary education even though I am undocumented?

-No, you cannot. At the DREAM Act Portal, we do not condone and will not accept any suggestions on how to obtain any kind of financial aid or benefit in an unlawful and fraudulent way.

Texas HB 1403 allows, in certain cases, for some undocumented students who qualify to receive STATE (as in Texas) financial aid. That is in no way connected to federal financial aid or the Dream Act or Fafsa, as there is a different form to fill out specific to the state of Texas. So no, #7 does not need to be updated in any way, though hopefully one of these days it will be
