Good to know I never got my hopes up too much for this. For you younger DREAMers in High School, get used to it. If it hasn't already, Reality is going to hit you like a 5-ton sack of bricks.

Guys, don't freak out. It just meant that Labrador couldn't agree on the issue and is now out. It's now a Gang of 7 for the moment and the process will resume on the rest of the bill, ignoring the health care issue, leaving the current status as is.

Reminds me of my high school/college days. I've known many posters here from that time. Shit was difficult as hell. If it wasn't for God's grace, I don't see how we could've made it this far. But I'll give the current students this, they have DACA to start with. I'm so happy they can at least get DACA and continue on after graduating from school. Man we should hold an online vigil on DAP when the House starts deliberating CIR because it most definitely will pass the Senate.

Yeah, DACA is a godsend. Especially for DREAMers living in states that grant in-state tuition. If nothing else, at least we can safely assume the program will continue through Obama's administration as a renewable.

Wow, are things really looking this bleak in the states? You would think that there would be a small cadre of house republicans who could pull with the democratic majority don't you? But I'm with you 2face on the online vigil, its looking like things aren't as assured as we thought

We all want CIR to pass but if it doesn't we should be grateful for DACA. It helps tremendously. Still, I feel for everyone who cannot benefit from it.

Also, we need to make sure immigrant friendly Presidents/Congressman are elected. Or, we can kiss DACA goodbye.
