The Senate Democrats would never let it pass....
The media reports as if it had passed already....

Unfortunately it also shows that it will be incredibly difficult for any type of immigration reform to pass the house. What saddens me is the fact that I believed that at least Dream Act was gaining momentum and people were warming up to Dreamers.

House Republicans have been doing this type of stuff a lot lately -especially with the Obamacare stuff. They've lost so they want to grandstand and have talking points.

In that you are right, they don't like Obamacare but for some reason they care so much about it to not give it to immigrants. I just worry that their interests in having Obama fail are greater than reforming the status quo.

This amendment, sponsored by Representative Steve King, runs contrary to our most deeply-held values as Americans. It asks law enforcement to treat these Dreamers the same way as they would violent criminals. It’s wrong. It’s not who we are. And it will not become law."

We can all agree CIR is done, so what do we do now? Another 4 years until the next push for CIR?
