Not everyone gets the same amount. You have to pay into Social Security to get money out of it.

Dude, you're getting jacked now!! Your hard earned money is going to pay for ss benefits for old ppl now! Ss works like ponzu scheme! Once you become a us citizen and hit 67, you will start getting those checks! Irrespective of how much you paid!!!! They will look at your net worth not how much you paid! Calm the f down ppl!

I read a couple years ago or in that vicinity that there's 150 billion dollars just sitting there from SS taxes paid by unauthorized workers. That was a few years ago too so that number has grown.

I always wondered what would happen to that eye popping amount of money ... a starchitect designed border wall? (kidding kidding guys)

That just sucks.

Great argument! You should be a professional debater.

But buried in this amendment is language that instructs the U.S. government to confiscate the Social Security taxes paid by all unauthorized workers between 2004 and 2014,
What about the money paid to SS before 2004? Some people has been here way longer than that.

Ok so social security benefits are based on a person's highest 35 years of earnings, which are then indexed for wage growth. This would have an impact but I guess that's the price we will have to pay. Unless it's taken out. I don't think it will be a substantial one.

Unless you're close to or in your twilight years right now like some of our parents or older family members.
