I get that. And I can understand they would at least want something done in good faith (i.e. a certain amount of the fence built) before we are able to register/adjust. I'm just worried they've put some overly ambitious trigger in there that won't be achieved and will leave us waiting for years to just register for provisional status.

Yeah, I don't get why they would want the border secured before we're able to apply. I agree that they should add as much border security as they want, but not make everyone wait until they add that security to be able to apply for RPI, what would be the point in making people wait? That makes me believe that they don't care about legalizing people, just using this excuse of CIR to add border security and legal immigration and if the numbers aren't met, too bad for us.

I think RPI with legal status, work, drive is good enough. No other benefits. I don't care if the path is 25 years to GC as long as they pass it. Whatever it takes.

For Republicans the border will never be secured no matter how much security is thrown at the border.

I'm curious about their DA version, since I'm planning to enlist. I really hope that they get to work fast and don't add anything ridiculous to the bill so the democrats don't reject the house bill in the senate. They really have to work overtime since July 4th is in less than a week.
