I am happy to report that we are in the process of sending the first batch of 500 amazon gift cards to survey participants, and are in the process of coordinating the purchase of the rest of the gift cards.

As of this moment 300 of the gift cards have been sent out. Sorry for the delay it has been mostly a result of us learning the logistics of everything as we go along and the significant amount of information that we have received and needed to organize. As the project progresses we anticipate that the turnaround will improve significant as well.

We will be sending the next batch of e-mails directing people to the survey as soon as the professor leading this project indicates us to do so, which should be pretty soon.

We are in the process of securing the next batch of gift cards to send, some people have not received their cards as a result, but we hope that soon we will get the next batch to send out to the remaining participants that have completed the survey.

We will also be contacting people that have registered with information on where they can take the survey after this.

Thanks for your patience, we are certain the process will go more smoothly as the project goes along, this time it was just a very significant amount of information that we had to work with which slowed us down.

For any questions that require more expeditious or a private response you may PM me or contact me at daniel@undacamented.org.

Thanks
Daniel Garcia

Thank you very much for your participation on this very important survey. Thank you also for your patience with us. We are currently working to make the gift card process a smoother one, but are also learning a lot about the sometimes slow pace of university bureaucracy. However, we are in the process of figuring out how to speed up this exchange to get the gift cards out to everyone as soon as possible.

Thanks to your contribution we have been able to start amassing data that we hope will allow us to influence future policy in a manner that it will benefit our immigrant communities. We would like to share a preliminary report that has come out of this endeavor as well as news articles that have focused in part on the results that we have been able to determine. Hopefully this will take us one step closer to advocating and influencing future policy, encouraging more scholarly research endeavors and informing our communities on what challenges we are facing.

We would greatly appreciate if you could let other friends and family know about this research project and how they can register. We really need all the participation we can get if we hope to have a significant effect advocating on the policy level and achieving a representative sample. This is an effort that requires an entire community. Many of us involved in this project share similar experiences and, as a result, have important stakes in what happens with this research and with policy decisions.

People interested in helping us with this endeavor may register through www.undacamented.org

Thank you,
The NURP Team

Hi everyone,

For what it's worth, I've met the poster in person a few times and had forgotten about the survey for a while until I received an e-mail today about redeeming my $20 gift card. I would encourage everyone to apply out of the mere fact that it is an unprecedented study about undocumented youth that could shape future public policy, but if that's not enough to motivate you, the $20 card should help. From my understanding, they ran into logistical issues in terms of buying cards in bulk and sending them out, but the age old saying stands: better late than never
