I don't think you understand how this works. Republicans don't listen to Obama; in fact, the evidence shows that when he actively supports something, they become more opposed to it. So there is no point in Obama trying to put direct pressure on Republicans by campaigning broadly in swing states or whatever.

But Republicans WILL listen to voters. So he is trying to ramp up the activism and get people to put more effort into pressuring their elected officials.

Isn't talking to Spanish-language media and to Spanish-speaking audiences preaching to the choir?
