Hate to bring this up now, but thank you Mr. President for your 2008 CIR promise. His fucking legacy.

It would be nice if the damn Pentagon extended that damn military option right now. Now, I wonder what kind of impact these results will have on the impending EO. It almost becomes pointless now.

I'm not surprised this happened, I see it coming long time ago. I wonder now if Obama will have the guts to sign executive action since GOP will considere it an act of war.

Why are you guys so worried? I think either outcome would've been fine. The GOP controlling the senate is a good thing in my eyes. The GOP NEEDS to pass SOMETHING if they want any chance of having the 2016 presidency. There's just no way. There's such insane pressure from all angles. Something has to be done and they recognize this. I think they will come up with a shitty bill, yes, but at least SOMETHING will be getting done. We will be working towards something. They will debate it and hopefully work out a compromise. It's not all doomed. Don't worry. The way I see it is that either they pass something or they lose the presidency and we get another four years of a DEM President.

See, the democrats didnt do much but the also didnt much that affected us. Republicans on the other hand have done just about anything to get rid of DACA and dont forget they did not even want to take the Senate Immigration Reform bill into a hearing. You HONESTLY think republicans winning is good for us?

Obama took a risk not doing an EO, he thought congress would be control by democrats so his EO was more acceptable, now with Republicans in the house , literally, hes going to be under a lot of pressure to not do anything

I'm pretty sure GOP will pass their own version of CIR which will be a piece meal legislation with border security first and a very limited if any legalization provision hoping that immigrants will be stupid enough to believe that they actually accomplished something. If that happen will be in 2015 before the next election year.

You better believe any minimal legalization will take effect once every inch of the borders have a moat 200 meter moat with sharks and alligators, and a 30 mile tall wall .
