What are you talking about? McConnell is one of the most partisan politicians out there. He's the same guy who wanted to make sure Obama becomes a 1 term president with his famous quote. He's not someone who will compromise and is far right on the platform. Kentucky is one of the worst states with education and he has done nothing to help that.

Whatever this EO turns out to be, if it leaves out older dreamers who did not qualify for DACA then it is a total farce and purely political trick! They NEED to make people eligible based on years of presence, clear backgrounds and also make these individuals pay back taxes.

My grandfather died (petitioner), so I needed to know what our options were as the NVC contacted us recently (I age out in December of this year). His advice to us was to wait the President out and see what happens. What I really took away from the meeting was his theory on the EO. He believes, given the President's track record, he is building an EO that will withstand a court challenge from Congressional Republicans. He thinks the beneficiaries of any executive orders will likely be USCs/PRs that suffer from some sort harm through deportation (i.e. Minor USC children, spouses of undocumented immigrants who are either PRs/USCs). And he will throw farmworkers in to secure support from big business.

What we should be worried about is that UWD and DRM are concerned. What also concerns me is that in all of this we have not heard anything about DREAMers who did not qualify for DACA being included in the EO.
