This man has bamboozled his supporters. The argument against work visas is classic white resentment. This is what happens when people grow up in a society that tells them your skin color offers you privwlage and then they see a Mexican doing better than them. Meanwhile, the fat cats in wall st and the Republicans use these things as a distraction so they can make the fat cats richer at the expense of their base.
Been saying this since about a year ago. I foresaw this coming. Trump has just used the base and the entire GOP party as a vehicle to become President. We should really wait a little bit and give him some time. A month from now he's going to take office and we will truly see what transpires. He's not going to be waiting. Expect immigration to be on the top of his list. Whatever happens, it will surely happen. Much better than a traditional Republican/Democrat in office. Those politicians always kick the can down the road. From my point of view, it's just not feasible to place emphasis on what someone says. You really should try to look at the background of the person. Dude didn't become a millionaire businessman over the years advocating "kicking out all muslims" or insulting immigrants as "rapists." That rhetoric was used only to win the election. Even Ann Coulter now things that he is "selling out on immigration." Complete BS, Coulter is the one who made the mistake of misinterpreting what he said. "Building a wall" basically means securing the border, which is amazing. If people are expecting a physical brick thing, they're going to be disappointed man.

Isn't net migration from Mexico basically at 0? I think visa overstayers are the most common form of undocumented currently? I don't know why they believe the wall would end immigration. It's sad that so many of his supporters are still chanting to "lock her up." Trump called them vicious and violent. I think he's getting tired of them lol you know when someone brown noses and follows you too long you start getting annoyed by them lol

I don't think they are self deporting anymore. Since the Mexican peso is down and it will be a lot harder to come to USA through border, they are saying here.

Well a couple of things. Trump saying he's going to "build a wall" basically means he will be securing the border. Anyone expecting a physical brick thing is an idiot. Second thing is those people expecting him to send Hillary to jail are even more stupid and deserve to be slapped across their faces. And yes, Trump himself came out and said those people expecting all that are idiots lol.

I read an article that stated 52% of republicans believe he won the popular vote. I think Trump is getting in line with Ryan and Prebus' vision for the future of the Republican Party. They know they have to pick up certain demographics if they want to remain a competitive party. I strongly believe now trump might not undo daca. I read that he was urged by these tech companies not to curtail foreign worker visas and he said something to the effect of just tell me what you need. It's quite insightful that just a couple of days after the election he released that video promising to remove foreign visa programs that undercut the American worker.

I actually think its the other way around. The Republican party will be the one to get in line with Trump. He is not a Republican himself as far as I'm concerned. He just used the party to win the election. He could care less really about the future of the party or even reelection. But you're dead right on the DACA part. He was never going to do this. He never said he would. Not his fault people are interpreting him wrong. He said he is going to get rid of all "illegal Obama executive orders/amnesties." That doesn't mean he will get rid of DACA. That's what you call a true businessman and an expert seller. He makes it seem to the Republican base that he will be doing something without actually spelling it out and potentially angering the other side. Keep playing in the grey area and in the end conquer everything!
