This!! They don't care as long as he builds the wall.

EXACTLY. And that is why till date Trump has been vague in his claims. He has not yet said that he will "End DACA" because he doesn't intend to do that. Plain and simple. Those angry people don't know the full meaning behind DACA. They have been told repeatedly that "Obama has given amnesty to illegal kids" and that's why they are against it. I have SO MANY friends in that category. If I told them I was one of those kids and explained it all to them, I bet you I can flip them into DACA supporters.

Paul Ryan has specifically said he and the GOP will not pull the rug from under dreamers. I detest trump as much as any liberal but he came out and said he was willing to work something out for us. Both of them didn't have to say anything about our situation right? Yet it seems people are discounting all that and still freaking out like nothing positive has been shifted in our favor since the election. Sometimes we have to try our best to keep a hopeful attitude in our shitty situation.

Amen to all that. On top of this, I also feel very good seeing that Trump has been meeting with and appointing top level corporate executives. We all know corporate execs and officers across the country speak so highly of Dreamers and the need to pass comprehensive reform! It's just plain logic. But we will just have to wait and see WHAT type of solution comes forth.

They can't simply just end something for 800,000 people. It's unethical even in GOP standard.

Let's see how they go about with the Obamacare repeal. I understand why they want to do that though, to line the pockets of their rich donors.

Revoking DACA won't be lining anyone's pocket. Trump is a business man, I hope he understands how much we can contribute to the economy.

This.

I think the taboo of taking away a type of humanitarian relief will be too strong for Trump and the repubs to attempt it.

I am not naive in thinking it will never be taken away and that we will definitely be safe no matter what...but IMO I think DACA beneficiaries at least will somehow transition to status in the USA sooner than we thought.
