What the heck
He is pretty out there.

He wanted to make it a crime to help undocumented immigrants. A min. 10 year sentence for document fraud ( like using a fake SSN ) Required the Federal government to take custody of any undocumented immigrants detained by local Police.

So yeah, another crazy person.

Well, we are screwed, aren't we?

No. It is politics. Anything is possible, just depends on the deal that can be made, and how many votes they can get from it

It takes two sides to make a deal. Maybe Trump comes thru with something to help DREAMers, but he wants to screw over other immigrants.

Would immigrant groups be ok with that? Dunno. That is why politics is the "Art of the possible"

This guy can post a lot of problems for us in the house. Paul Ryan doesn't have complete control over house republicans. This guy can help stall any reprieve for us in the House. This is definitely a big setback.

He's very anti immigrant and everything we stand for. However, the chairman of the judiciary can bypass and go around him if he wants to do so.

It is all politics, unfortunately, people lives are in the balance.

Sensenbrenner has his job because if the GOP leadership. So Ryan does have some influence, but not that much.

It really shows how dysfunctional the house is. If 50% of the house sign a discharge petition, a bill can skip committee, bypass Paul Ryan and go directly to the floor for a vote. And they rarely happen.

I don't see this man derailing anything the GOP wants to pass. Does he really want Trump calling him out? I think trump is going to be increasingly upset about how many gridlocks are in congress. They won't be able to blame obama or the democrats anymore. We will see a lot of infighting with trump and congress if they gridlock any of his plans. They probably know this and are just gonna give him what he wants as long as he backs their agenda as well and they don't try to impeach him.

As long Trump goes along with GOP agenda, I don't think they'll try impeach him. If Trump becomes a liability, they could easily come up with a reason for impeachment. There is definitely going to be a struggle of power between the two.

If they impeach him it might be the end of the GOP though. Would his suppprters ever vote for another GOP candidate?
