I think Sessions is the source for this article. Just like when kobach was trying to get all this media attention.

Heh. As a rule, I've found the WSJ, Financial Times, or most financial newspapers to be excellent sources of reporting news -- their editorials of course are rabidly, Tutonically conservative, but, fortunately, they do not allow that to have any bearing on their reporting.

They figure that the type of people who read their paper actually need something approximating to a factual view of the world, if only for investing purposes.

All this tiptoeing around DACA is curious. No one is tiptoeing around any of these other EO's but with DACA it's they need more time to study it or they need the whole cabinet, etc, etc.

It could all be a ruse, but why would Bannon and Sessions even care to craft an alternate policy for Trump? One would imagine their policy suggestion would just be to scrap everything and deport everyone.

It seems as long as we have some political value, there will be forces in the WH and/or from Congress keeping us on life support. Hope they are able to keep Trump's ear in our favor for a long time.

IMO, we'll be held hostage for an enforcement bill with very little help for our parents or the remainder of the undocumented community.

Yeah, that's also my line of thinking on why DACA is still alive at this point. We'll get the BRIDGE Act or, if we are lucky, LPR for only us, but the vast majority will be left with nothing and in exchange they'll get more enforcement money and wall funding. Win-win for Trump in that he's building the wall and can claim that he helped the DACA 'kids'.
