I wonder if this bridge act would be considered "legal status", and if so, could people join the military?
I read the whole bill and says it is consider as an a legal status.

It is worst, but realistically it would be better... once they make it law, it could easily be extended...

It could be renewed but would require another vote in congress.

I agree, Bridge may not be the best thing ever but can help provide a "bridge" to a potential legalization in the future.

BTW, the Bridge act allows for Expunged offenses to not count against you. Wow... I never saw that before when it comes to immigration.

Posted this on another thread.

I was reading the text of the bill and I'm kind of intrigued by this text
"(3) continuously resided in the United States between June 15, 2007, and the date on which the alien files an application under this section;"

It seems like if you live between june 15, 2007 up to present. You would qualify. that is based on my comprehension on how they wrote that line. If not, oh well..

DACA's guideline says "Have continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007, up to the present time;"
