Under the current directives, group 2 will be targeted for deportation.

Number one will not be targeted, but will be apprehended and deported if they ICE finds them.

Number three will generally be fine unless they commit a crime, my guess is that severed. Note people who are LPRs have been deported with DUIs.

This is not official, but it is more or less what has been happening and what the word is around the block.

Note also that DACA recipients will not be targeted but may be detained if suspicious of crimes and could be deported if found guilty.

It is not 100% clear if DACA holders with final orders would be targeted. It seems not.
Thank you for the information.

I was specifically talking about those caught by ICE during raids/traffic stops, which you said that they would be deported, since they have been caught by ICE.

My mom once told me that she heard from a couple of people that a woman was apprehended, for driving without a license, by ICE, but was sent to court for the judge to decide if she would get deported. Anyways, the judge decided that she should not be deported, and she was able to adjust her status, mainly because her kids are USC and are under the age of 18. Have you heard anything similar to this happening?

A lot of it will be the discretion of ICE. But Trumps executive order states that everyone is subject to deportation. ICE officers have the discretion i guess, they could just ignore someone for example.

I would assume I fall on number 1?

The very first paragraph says that with the exception of DACA and DAPA. Does this mean that those under these programs or those who would have qualified u der DAPA are not main targets?

A little relief and here is to hoping that it will never be implemented. I cannot believe they pretty much threw every MAVNI recruit out of the bus. Kelly did not think this through... or maybe he just didn't care. Either way, this is a slap in the face.

Wait...the memo excludes those who qualify for DACA and those covered by DAPA...what is rescinding is the enforcement priorities memo that the previous administration drafted. Deferred action can and does apply to those who have a final order and who don't have criminal backgrounds. The same for TPS recipients - TPS is also a form of deferred action. Remember ppl were being put through imm courts just for unauthorized presence because that was the default modus operandi. Prosecutorial discretion and enforcement priority were used by the previous administration as a tool to distinguish undocumented individuals who are long-settled and non-threats to their communities from those who cause harm.
