Yes this what I think as well - it started with DUI we got lots of those. Now it's transitioning to lesser things.

I only see it that way if you commit that crime while under DACA. Otherwise there is a lot of dreamers that applied with expunged/dismissed DUIs and other lesser crimes and were approved for DACA and have maintained good status, no one has gone after them.

On Wednesday, an DHS official told ThinkProgress that Montes’ DACA status was renewed and that it is set to expire on January 25, 2018. However the official said that Montes “lost his DACA status when he left the United States without advanced parole on an unknown date prior to his arrest by the U.S. Border Patrol on Feb. 19, 2017.” DACA recipients are required to obtain advanced parole prior to leaving the country or risk terminating their protected status.

Hmm so now the question is how did he leave in the first place? Border patrol is claiming they have no records of him being deported the first time . Interesting story indeed

Montes — who has a cognitive impairment because of a brain injury during his childhood, according to the National Immigration Law Center — alleges he was not allowed to see an immigration judge or a lawyer at any point.

damm... Got_Daca loves this shit, he hates DREAMers with disabilities.

So he did have DACA afterall. Now the matter of contention is how did he go the first time. I hope they can do parole from abroad or something like that.

Poor guy got nervous and signed everything ICE threw at him.

He signed away his rights and DACA.

Let this be a lesson for all of us.

Some new info but I guess we will know all the details until the case progresses

The agency also disputed another fact of Montes' case, regarding when he entered the country. Montes' attorneys say he came to the country when he was 9 years old, roughly 13 years ago. But DHS says the first record they have of Montes is in 2010, when he entered the US and agreed to a deal that allowed him to avoid expedited removal. He was then cleared for DACA four years later.

The lesson is DHS/ICE/CBP does whatever they want even to people that have DACA

The fact that DHS is backtracking on their earlier statement that he didn't have DACA, and now saying that he actually did have DACA throws everything they claim about what he did or didn't do into question.

They didn't just tell multiple news organizations that they didn't know if he had DACA, they clearly stated that he didn't have DACA. And a few days later as the story caught more attention, they come out and say he did have DACA after all?
