Have you followed his campaign or what he's been saying in public for two years now?

I have seen him say he's open to doing immigration reform.

Trump keeps bringing up that the wall for Israel worked. How do we courter argue that statement? It actually did work.

You mean the time before his state of the union address when he had an off the record chat with reporters, told said reporters that he is open to comprehensive immigration reform, let them report on it and then went ahead and said nothing about CIR during the State of the Union and as a kicker let his aids leak that he deliberately misled the reporters in order to prove that they are fake media without credibility?

How about the times he said that immigrants are rapists and drug dealers? Or the times he said that he was going to build a deportation force? Or the time when he said that the Eisenhower policy of mass deportation called Operation Wetback was a model to emulate? Or the time that he asked a Fox News audience what he should do about immigration and after hearing everyone say that he should kick out the illegals he decided to keep on banging on about the wall?

Do you remember those times or do you choose to ignore them because you desperately want to believe?

The willful obtuseness people show towards people who are actively trying to fuck them over is incredible and incomprehensible to me.

Please google for us the size of their border and then the southern USA border

So the counter argument is that our border is almost 5 times that of Israel.

At this point you're just ignoring reality. Reality is DACA is still active, the program is still accepting new applicants, there is no "Eisenhower policy", and the vast majority of people who are being targeted are those with criminal records.

All that crazy talk during the campaign was for ratings and pandering to his base.


The off the record interview he had with the New York Times last March (2016) was him saying people who are already here will most likely get to stay as long as they are law abiding. Had he said the wall would be built, and those in could stay, would have encouraged people to bull rush the border before the border security improved. That's not in the interest of national security or sovereignty.

The message to the NY Times was likely some sensitivity for families established here a long time.
