I hope this helps you feel better a little and believe that they're still some hope.

The Trump administration could address the issue by removing a part of the DACA program that provides a subsidy to give driver's licenses to those “lawfully present” in the U.S.

If Trump removes the “lawfully present” designation, it could take away the main reason for Texas to sue, Stephen Legomsky, a former Homeland Security lawyer, said in the Times

This will solve nothing.

Right now, there's only a threat to sue, not an actual lawsuit. The Attorneys General will simply find another technicality within DACA, and file a lawsuit over that. They have a problem with DACA having been enacted outside of Congress. Nothing outside of a Congressional solution will keep them at bay.

COPY AND PASTE THIS AND EMAIL YOUR SENATORS!

Senator ______,

As per DHS Secy. Kelly said today, he believes that DACA will fall if the states' continue with their litigation against the WH regarding DACA. The Congress needs to address this issue or nearly a million DREAMER's will lose their livelihoods.

Democrats need to compromise with Senate Republicans on a solution to replace DACA. We dont need full citizenship just legal status! please compromise and attach RACA or the Bridge ACT to Kates Law or any other immigration enforcement bill the GOP house passes! Please, this community needs your help!

Dude, not to sound pessimistic but the DHS secretary just gave you an insight into what the administration is thinking. They will NOT defend DACA. DACA is done in September/October unless congress does something before then.

I don't know why people keep saying this is unconstitutional. The president does have a lot of authority over immigration issue like the travel ban. Obama's legal team thinks it's constitutional if they take it up to supreme, I think we will have a fair fight if Trump wants to defend DACA.

Even Mark Kirkorian is for full DACA legislation

We should be pushing for permanent solution instead of bandaid measure like Bridge Act

While I do understand that, this is still not over, people seem to be running for the cliffs here already. Our backs have been against the wall since day one of the Trump administration. Let's hope for the best.
