I believe we are at a point where the republican leadership can and will do the right thing. It is a question on whether Democrats can support something like Kate's law, which to be honest does not seem that unreasonable.

It's up to democrat 's decision now. As of now, all democrat politicians remain silent on this matter ( except Luis Guitierz)
The AGs want DACA to end. I think the GOP would have rather just looked the other way and let DACA stay (at least until they are ready to push for immigration bills).

I have yet to hear of any Republican leadership saying anything either. I agree it would be nice to hear from Democratic leadership, but it goes both ways.

The deadline given by the state attorneys general in their letter to the administration was September 5. That happens to be the day Congress is slated to return from its August recess.

Congress can’t stop the Trump administration from ending DACA, or Republican state governments from suing if it doesn’t. But if DACA does end, the pressure to act shifts to the legislative branch.
I can tell you that nothing will officially be done till September 5th. The #1 priority of the GOP right now is repealing Obamacare and they don't give a rat's behind about DACA replacing.

The key is going to be pressuring congress during the recess to have RACA ready to go when they come back in September and ready to do their wheeling and dealing with Republicans. If they actually do get something passed, it could take till the end of the year so it could be that some people are without DACA for a few months as their cards expire so if your renewals are coming up then or you're on the bubble, you really should be planning your war-chest. Save money, find alternative IDs, move to a more immigrant friendly place, etc.

I wish I could be as chill as some of you guys. I'm in between chill and worry now. Still planning my moves, but I'm still gonna enjoy watching Planet of the Apes tonight. If Apes can own the planet, so can we.

Seriously. I have become just as angry at the liberal media than I am at anti-DACA conservatives.

In order to get clicks they publish these sensationalist headlines about our DACA ending , about leaked drafts of executive orders that will end DACA, Etc.

All this does is instill fear in us and the community and they are capitalizing on this fear for sales or clicks.

Yes things took a quick and worrying turn with this development. But no, nobody knows for certain what will happen with DACA. Any source offfering conclusions is simply being sensationalist and falsely reporting.

Democrats need to compromise before 2018. The Senate is not looking good and there's a good chance Republicans get a supermajority then we're truly fucked
