I doubt we are going to get much media coverage. There are several protests ongoing for the Charleston incident.

It's on the 5th year anniversary of when USCIS started taking applications, and they've been planning this for weeks. I think at this point it would be too difficult to postpone, and Sept 5th will be here soon. And it does fit in with the whole message of fight against racism and bigotry.

There's nothing wrong with carrying the flag of your birth country. This is the essence of free speech. No need to be ashamed of your homeland. At the Olympics athletes wear their country's flag. The racists won't like you flew 10,000 American flags

I think you should advise that message to the countless of Facebook groups to make a better point instead of here lol. Nonetheless, it's impossible to stop everyone from expressing their cultural identities in these protests and it's not really a bad thing unless they're being obnoxious about it.

why do they have to include tps with it, that's a whole other issue completely unrelated.
do they really think tps and daca are equal in terms of importance?

There was a thread about this a week ago. You just probably didn't notice it.

I am guessing they included it to garner as much attention as they can. Similar to how black lives matter supports lgbt rights.

they really shouldn't have.
it just draws attention away from the whole point of the movement. and people have been working 5 years for DACA people, not tps.
while tps people haven't done anything in this whole time to help themselves, but now they want to piggyback on us, it's stupid.
