8 months into his administration with no major legislative win on his agenda, his staff crumbling, and the media laughs at him because there is still no wall, yet somehow we still think that DACA is this big bargaining chip? You can't keep on calling DACA a bargaining chip if we're 8 months into his administration and he's gotten nothing. We all know President Trump has 0 to very little patience and when he wants to act on something he will do it. Regardless of whatever type of backlash he will get.

The last couple of months, President Trump has gotten no benefits of keeping DACA. With the Democrats not budging on any compromise whatsoever, I'm confident he would have ended DACA a long time ago. DACA is here to stay. Yes it will end at some point, but those who already have it will be able to keep it while saying he ended the program in order to please his base.

Trump is going to destroy everything he can. He will do whatever he wants. He defended neo nazis, pardoned Arpaio, you think he won't end DACA? He doesn't give a rat's ass about political backlash as long as he still keeps his support from racists rednecks.

Why is DACA still active 8 months later ? I'll await your response.

Because Trump wanted to keep it in place until the issue of his wall came up. Right now he wants to build his wall, he needs money for it. Congress has to approve that money. He is holding us hostage, he wants the money for his wall in exchange for DACA or something like the Dream Act. Democrats have come out and said that they will not give him the wall in exchange for Dreamer's legalization. Trump now sees no value in keeping us afloat. He can kill us off now if he pleases. Trump never cared about us, he was never in favor of keeping DACA because we are "good people" He just wanted to use us.

Well then I believe Democrats have to take some of the blame once we start losing our jobs and getting caught up in deportations. It's morally reprehensible for democrats to just pay us lip service if we lose daca . Actions speak louder than words .

He would've ended it already if he really wanted to specially because he hasn't score anything to satisfy his base, even if it's not for the wall we can be bargained for other piece of legislation he wants. So he's creating drama as if this was the apprentice to make the stakes go higher.

So hold tigh because we're gonna find out pretty sson my fellow dacaers.

Or they get a bill through Congress that protects us (even temporarily) as a rider to any bill, without funding for the wall, and dare Trump to veto it.
That's politics

You guys keep saying his base but what exactly do you guys know about his base?

Majority of his base favor an immigration reform to legalize people here

I can't find a backup but I am sure his base also support DACa to stay
