if your parents had your name down in the original family based petition before april 2001, (i was under 21 back then), am i still protected fall under 245i even if im aged out right now (im 25 now)?

Yes you are protected. You can use that 245(i) petition to apply for any benefit in the future while staying in the country. 245(i) has little to do with protecting your age, it just allows you to adjust while inside the country as opposed to leaving the country.

Yes Rahman is right. If you are out of status right now, go see an immigration lawyer as soon as you can and start working on your green card. You need a resume stating you are a skilled worker and a sponsor. Process will probably take less than two years, and you should be able to apply for your work permit and green card!!

Bok873,there is actually more to the employment route under 245i,since you would also need a Permanent Labor Certification first before applying for the EB Adjustment application.
