Just some final comments. Can we at least agree that this is the WORSE case scenario?

It's NOT fake news that these facilities exist. It's NOT fake news that illegal immigrants get sent to these places. It's NOT fake news that if we lose our DACA status then we will again be illegal and under threat from current laws.

You know what IS fake news? Hoping that congress is going to come to our rescue. It's fake news that we hope Trump will go against his base and extend DACA. Why? Because we have ALL been waiting our whole lives for DACA, and it happened only as an executive order by a president. Before this, nothing happened.

Yes, we have huge support now from top businesses and organizations. But do you trust democrats and republicans to come together for us? Trump NEEDS a wall built. None of his other priorities has really worked, he NEEDS this. Democrats, as usual, won't compromise and legislation will fall through.

I read news all over the place, I want to know what every side thinks. The more you know, the better. Once things begin to unfold, and only then, can we call something 'fake news'. Stay educated.

THE GOOD NEWS: The Democrats ran Hillary last year and she was saying "pathway for all illegal immigrants". Not just DACA. We need to tell our stories and help the Democratic party run candidates with the same attitude. Only then can we hope for another president who will stick up for us.

Obama decided to scrap private detention center use for immigration holding
Trump won
Scrapping of catch and release
Redefinition of "criminal immigrant" EO by Trump's admin.
Easing of immigrant rhetoric and tightening of Russia investigation over the last two months
Current immigrant rhetoric last week or so
When and if DACA is scrapped

If you don't think the private prison industry lobby was responsible for some of the head immigration hawks around Trump right now (Kobach, Sessions, among others...) getting reelected, I've got a 2 mile wall to sell you.

Thank you for bringing some reality to this thread. I can see how someone might think I could've had a more positive tone, but to say it's 'fake news' is just lazy. Do just a little bit of your own research and everything checks out, unfortunately...
