Are you sure that article is saying renewals are allowed? It's saying allowing us to stay in the program, but there's not details. It could also mean until permit expires...

What does this really mean? I'm confused

As I understand it says no more renewals but we keep protection from deportation?? The wording is confusing as fuck someone

Yeah from what I read is he won't renew work permits, but we still get protection from deportaiton? I don't fkin get it.

I understood it as we keep our deferred action and work permit but won't be able to renew it once it expires.

ELI5 = ending new applications for individuals who have NOT applied for DACA initially; renewals will be grandfathered in and honored for people who have applied FOR daca in the past.

Yeah but that doesn't make sense, why do I want deportation protection if I can't fucking work??
