You guys, I think we will be fine in the end. DACA has given us visibility in the last 5 years. Once the government gives you some form of status, they can't take it back. They just can't because DACA made us real. It gave us visibility and a voice. DACA made the American public finally see the 800K+ people with real lives and dreams who wanted a shot at having a life. Without DACA, we would have never existed to the American public in this way. This is why Obama is still the person to thank for anything we get. At a minimum, we will get the Bridge Act. Hopefully, something better. However, while we will end up with some form of legal status in the end, not sure if our nerves will survive the next 6 months. It's just too much freaking stress. DACA PTSD is a real thing.

I think we will still be good.
The Sessions thing is weird. If anything, it should have come from DHS. I can't help but daydream that Trump decided to humiliate Sessions by forcing him to defend DACA in court. Now, that'd be sweet! Except, it's only a dream Actually, it may be a publicity stunt to save face with Trump's base. If the base doesn't like that Trump extended DACA for 6 months, Trump can always turn around and say look Sessions said this was best and look Sessions did it himself. Who knows?

Sessions is the AG. He is the admin's legal counsel. To give a legal reply on DACA, he is unfortunately the man for the job.

Again, if Sessions were that powerful, this would have been eliminated day one. Also, Trump and Sessions don't have the best relationship.

Sure... but correct me if I'm wrong, didn't the original DACA legal explanation and what not when DACA was first introduced come from DHS directly?

I don't remember, but if that is the case, DHS was not replying to a legal suit from 9 attorney generals. DHS gave it as an administrative agency of the program, giving all details about the application process etc. Major differences.
