Those of us who expire after March 5th, are we going to try to send a renewal app in just to try our luck?

I might give it a shot. Even if it buys me only a few extra months I think it's worth it to be able to work a little bit more

The guidance is vague. In one part it says all renewals sent will be processed. In another part says, those who expire before March 2018.

If you have a job and can afford it , I'd give it a shot.

Its pretty clear cut. Initial and Renewal applications currently pending will continue to be processed. No new applicants will be accepted as of today. Only people who can send in renewals are those who expire before March 5 2018. Those people must send in their renewals by October 5.

Yeah, all of you expiring after March 5, 2018 and trying your luck at a renewal will only backlog the system for those that will actually get a renewal approved.

You guys should have tried earlier, the ones expiring after March 5, 2018. It would have gone through. I prolly repeated this a lot but I miss the March 5, 2018 deadline by 3 days. 3 days!! I would have been so upset had I not sent my renewal earlier. I would have been one of the first ones to have my EAD phased out if nothing happens in Congress. Don't despair, though. We have a lot of momentum going now. I see DACA everywhere on the news. We will get something from Congress. I am optimistic!

Not true about pretty clear cut.

"Due to the anticipated costs and administrative burdens associated with rejecting all pending renewal requests, USCIS adjudicate—on an individual, case-by-case basis—properly filed pending DACA renewal requests and associated applications for Employment Authorization Documents from current beneficiaries that have been accepted as of September 5, 2017, and from current beneficiaries whose benefits will expire between September 5, 2017 and March 5, 2018 that have been accepted as of October 5, 2017"

They will just reject it outright and send it back to you. It won't go through. USCIS is pretty thorough.
