My worry is that the Irma will cause another congress emergency response.

Idk if I am wrong but, will Florida need it's own aid package? Or is the funding congress provided also supposed to do that?

I know global warming is fake and free money is socialism. The government should not step into our lives... It amazes me how hypocrites they are...

Anyhow, can some discuss what the implications are with future aid bills?

Hahaha.

Libertarianism is largely a ideology of convenience and advantage - namely we want government only when it works to our convenience and advantage (not when it works for the whole) - otherwise, its Lord of the Flies for the rest.

By the time New Years comes, we'll have a pretty good idea on whether we stand as DREAMers

The leverage is that republicans want to avoid a government shutdown because they are the party in control of the presidency, house and senate. A gov shutdown will be blamed on them and they will look even more incompetent then they already look. 8 months in and no major legislative victories. Midterms will be bad for them.

Well it's either working with them or tard-wrangling the AnCaps from the freedom caucus and hoping for the best.

Yes, but is offering realistic concessions a realistic way to move forward with the issue considering this new leverage? Meaning if can they offer good border security measures and really put the foot on the floor, to force Republicans, is the threat of shutting down the government? And eventual shutdown the answer?

The interesting part in this is that this is what Trump threatened to do, only with Republicans...

Hey my house is already covered in plague wood, let's hope it doesn't cause shit ok?

Btw FL is 100x more prepared for hurricanes than Texas, we get hit by them all the time. Only problem would be a bit of flooding but remember Texas had DENS that broke
