I honestly don’t know what they were trying to accomplish. Hopefully they learned their lesson

They haven't learned any lessons. On Twitter, they're proud of what they did, and promise to do more.

This is a distraction. The priority is DreamAct.
1. It needs to be done asap.
2. We were explicitly told by Scchumer and Durbin that it will be attached to must pass legislation this month or early October.

Please stay focused. Let's be practical, honest, respectful and hold those who have pledged to solve this issue now accountable.

Honestly, I'm all for border security-- if that's in exchange for the DREAM act why not? A comprehensive immigration reform can follow afterwards, but the Republicans don't want another DACA-fiasco in another generation, so an increase on border security is the right response that anyone can take.

When Obama was prez Republican always said, we to need to fix are border first then we'll tackle CIR. So, they will have Border Security with Dream Act, then CIR comes in around 2020.

In 2 weeks we are coming up on 5 months remaining and nothing but talk so far, the clock is ticking. The ball has to get moving in October. I just can't see anything happening if this is carried in next year...
