Republicans should stop giving platform to convicted felons.

I don't know why this is even a big deal, it was a misdemeanor conviction.

If he had gone to jail, he would have came out a martyr for the right. The conviction carried a maximum of 6 months so I don't think he would have gone to prison, he would have done a couple of months in county jail, and then hit the speech circuit.

You think Arpaio would come out alive? They'd find him hanging by his own asshairs with every other inmate shrugging when questioned.

His opinion really doesn't matter and shouldn't be a topic of discussion, imo!

I am talking about the reality of what would happen. He would never be put in general population. LEO are put in general population, but they keep it quiet. He would be put in AdSeg where other people who are at risk are put. Gang dropouts, snitches, older inmates are often kept in AdSeg. He is also famous so he would not end up general pop.

Let me put it another way.

I think he should have been convicted on corruption and human rights violations. I think what he did amounted to cruel and unusual punishment. What he did to pregnant inmates and keeping people in tent city in the Arizona summer was inhuman. That is my opinion, I guess that doesn't matter either.

He got a contempt of court charge and that was it. People act like it was great that he got convicted on that. Be happy when he pulls a real charge where he can do actual time, not a crap charge.
