The issue requires work on both sides. Trump has veto power and I can guarantee you he will not sign shit.
They will take concessions from Republicans for this, of course, to make it more palatable for them to defend themselves if Dems are adamant about passing DA.

Trump, I truly believe, is lying and backtracking from the promises he made Pelosi and Schumer. I strongly believe though that he would pass the budget deal with DREAM act in tote. It's not like he can amend it from the budget bill. He will not veto a government funding bill or the debt ceiling.

Some people are so adamant about the Trump hate. I truly believe, politics aside, he wants relief for us.

The DACA issue is the Democrats #1 legislative priority:

@KamalaHarris 1 hour ago

I stand for and I stand with California’s 220,000 DACA kids. They deserve to stay and deserve to be heard. #DreamAct

He will be against a wall... He will take whatever route will give him the least path of resistance from the right wing.

He also loves chaos, he loves nothing more than drama. A government shutdown would be right up his alley.

i dont think that user hates Trump, he's just like the most bi-polar DREAMer here in the forum.

if he is for a good ol' govt shutdown, then why did he sign an extension of govt funding for 3 months till December?

he shouldve just let it shut down last month if that's the case. if they let the govt shutdown, the Republicans can kiss their majorities in the Congress goodbye in November 2018.

A government shutdown would be the best thing for democrats.

The public will blame it squarely on the republicans since they are in the majorities in congress and the Oval Office.

If Republicans had the votes of their party, they wouldn't have even had that meeting with "chuck and Nancy"

Add to that, they will fail on tax reform right before this December show down... idk if they would let tax reform carry over until midterm reelection season...
