It's hilarious that there are people here who unironically support a guy who ran on a "I will deport everyone and build a bigger wall than gyna" platform.

If Dream Act passes just watch that they'll be thanking Trump rather than Schumer, Durbin, or Pelosi for all the political maneuvering they've done to get the measure for a vote while in a minority.

Every politician lies in their campaigns to attract voters. That's the premise of politics, and Barack Obama was guilty of this as well. Show no loyalty to no political ideologies because they're both the two wings of the same bird.

Trump is president. Until further notice, he won fair and square. We have to move beyond that and just try to get shit done.

If we want to make any positive steps forward, we have to negotiate. We are not traitors or stupid for trying to negotiate here. We can reach a compromise without putting our parents and friends at risk.

If we do not negotiate and end up with nothing, ICE will continue to conduct operations--sanctuary state or not. California has declared itself a sanctuary state, but ICE will still be doing operations. We cannot afford to go back to the shadows to a weaker position. We can reach a middle ground without fucking over the rest. It is important we inject our views into the negotiations or they will fuck us over with a compromise we will not like.

I see you are using it as a strategy; I don't hate you. My problem is with the dreamers who do not see the clean Dream Act movement as a strategy and actually WILL NOT NEGOTIATE NOW OR LATER. They are either too paranoid, stupid, or lazy to debate and analyze which border security measures we can agree with in an end result.

Best wishes to you Demise.

But, there will be no united front. Sorry.

Rigoberta Menchu had her family brutally murdered at the hands of the Efrain Rios Mont administration in Guatemala during the cold war proxy conflicts.

Years passed and they were both in the Guatemalan legislature. Menchu had to reach across the aisle and negotiate on public policy with Mont (her family's murderer) to get shit done.

who gives a f the way the Dream Act passes, ya'll are just arguing and debating how it should pass via compromise or a clean bill to cover your asses of the boredom and anxiety you guys have now till December. just effing wait and dont panic.

i really dgaf about UWD or any of that shit.

the Dream Act (or any relief) will pass via Compromise or the Omnibus Bill in December. (nobody is going back to the shadows.)

im fine with a compromise as Durbin is trying to do, (we could use a little bipartisanship right now.) if that doesnt work, we have other safety nets such as the omnibus bill, if that doesnt work out either, im pretty sure Trump will extend the deadline.

again, you guys are arguing policy details/process that you have no control or influence over. just wait.

Lol! ...to put it bluntly. Pretty much what I've been saying.

You guys need to put all this boredom and anxiety towards something more productive. Hell go contact your Congressmen if nothing else.

It's fine to share articles and stay up to date (and even vent from time to time) but quit with the arguing and HOW its going to get done. Don't forget this is a public forum and anyone could be reading this stuff.

Because that is how it is. The president is the one who gets the praise or the blame no matter who does what under his administration.
