I'm wondering, is there a benefit to be vague for this negotiation? I guess I believe in Durbin, and I'm with him since he's been fighting for us for the longest. I'm just wondering if you guys have a theory about why he's using this tactic rather then made hardline demands?

It doesn’t matter what they agree to. If Dems want to include it for their votes then they have that right. If not republicans need to get the votes to pass it amongst themselves.

there is no way they can pass anything at the end of the year with just Republicans.

Because they will look like they don’t want to work with republicans to pass anything. They can blame this on republicans if they need to. “We tried cooperating with them, but they left us no choice”

Ain’t shit gonna happen between now and December.

I agree. I used to be optimistic about the passage of DA but it appears that all that optimism has faded away when I read that headline. Sadly, the DACA population are in for some rough times.
