Let's hope once an agreement is made Congress can pass it and have Trump sign it before the far right media has time to make a lot of fuss about it.

It's annoying, but I think those Dems MENTIONED IN THE ARTICLE (This is a relevant comment, so don't delete it just because you dislike reality) are bluffing. Plus, the DACA Recipients pushing for compromise are already on their way to DC.

The clean bill orgs will not be the only voice. Even though the centrist caravan is smaller, it will be influential enough to let Dems know that not all Dreamers are on board with a clean bill strategy.

dream act as a “clean” provision/amendment to the omnibus has the highest chance of passing.

I think they know that a clean Dream Act won't pass, so their reiteration is merely a hook for Republicans to draft their list and hopefully meet them half way with a compromise.

Either way, never seen anything like this in the previous looooooooong years.

Wait, what? Please elaborate because the GOP will want funding for some sort of border security measure.

Mostly every politician in D.C. knows that a clean bill amendment passing are slim to none.

yeah the GOP can have that too and any other provisions they want in an omnibus bill. (btw, the GOP already got 1.6 million for the border wall, and the McCaul border security bill passed the house already, they just need to work it out in committee when the Senate passes their version.)

democrats dont only want dream act for the omnibus, they also want CHIP, CSR' for the ACA and other issues.

the GOP doesnt have the votes in the house and the senate to avert a govt shutdown.

the Freedom Caucus wont vote for any spending bill that will add to the deficit.

obviously, the Speaker needs Democratic votes in the house.

they also need 8 democrats in the senate.

Clean is the best way so there is a decent compromise and everyone walks away winning something.
