obviously they wouldn't meet without Trump, that would make them 'look' weak, but at the end of the day they NEED the Dem's, not the other way round

Ryan and Mitch know they need the Dems, that's why they are insisting on them coming to the meeting. They could have just blown Nancy and Chuck off and told them, okay, no meeting, but they are trying to get them to come.
