Looking real good here.
I really hope that this is the one as I qualify for this.

A number of Freedom Caucus members are going to the floor and voting no on going to conference on the tax bill to get a longer CR.

@MEPFuller

Lol they're trying to vote against motion to proceed on Tax Bill to gain leverage for a longer CR.

Could this be the one that they were talking about?

The bill doesn't seem bad actually, but it will exclude aged out dreamers since it only includes those that received DACA:

Quote:
DACA Recipient Relief: Provides DACA recipients or children who have been in the United States continuously since 2012 – and only those individuals – with conditional resident status for up to 10 years as long as they are pursuing vocational or higher education, enlisted in the military, or are gainfully employed. After meeting specified conditions, those individuals will then be eligible to apply for a green card. Those conditions include maintaining “good moral character,” as defined by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services regulation; maintaining consistent residence in the United States for a period of ten years; and either completing their three years of military service or receiving an honorable discharge, completing their vocational or higher education, or maintaining gainful employment for four of the proceeding five years. This provision mirrors the bipartisan Recognizing America's Children Act (H.R. 1468 ) .

This is what I was afraid was going to happen. It will exclude aged out DREAMers and those not covered by DACA (previously or at the moment). And also why Flake insisted he be included in any negotiations.

This is why we're hearing all of this "we're at an impasse" shit. I hope I am wrong...

I don't think that it only applies to those who received DACA. It says " children who have been in the United States continuously since 2012."

In my opinion. It would include those DREAMers who arrived here between June 2007 and 2012.

We need to look at the full text.

From an old article about Flakes's bill:

So look up the RACA Act.

This bill is really strictive. This is a kind of bill only hardline GOPers can think of.

Thus, it might have the best chance of passing.
