I will definitely leave if it is just the Bridge Act. I am fed up... There are so many ways that people can tell you that you are not wanted.... I went to Elementary School through PhD in the USA. I guess they would rather have people coming in from other countries via lottery or via H1B. No problem! Bye bye!

Yes they do, they can get more immigration concessions in 3 years. Raise now, deportations for parents in 3 years.

I agree with you. Let the optimist haters hate us. But of course, we hope that we are wrong and something passes next month.

You guys are most likely right. I mean that is what I thought when this all started in September, but than things looked better and more promising, I think huge tipping point was when Schumer and Nancy didn’t show up to trumps meetjng 4 weeks ago. That was a huge fuck you to trump and Mitch + Ryan and now they are just standing their ground as they know they can as Democrats got no balls to do their own thing.

Also the elections in Alabama made things worst. Democrats now don’t want to do crazy stunts as they fee that they can gain power come 2018 and they don’t want to do drastic things to change Americans minds as to how they feel about them.

Democrats fucked us over, now theyre stuck with no leverage especially considering republicans now know democrats are sell outs and bluff when it comes to shutting down the govt -___- at this point a bridge act would be better than nothing. In this fight even democrats arent on our side since theyre using this as a political game.

Actually, I don't think it's about having or not having balls. Donor interest is all that matters in the end. If donors (i.e. corporations) are benefiting from today's high markets, they don't want a shutdown as it can affect the market negatively. We are talking about millions, if not billions, at stake. Clearly, dreamers cannot compete in terms of importance. First and foremost, we don't make millions in campaign contributions. Second, we cannot even vote and even if we could, there is only 800k of us throughout the US, so our voting power would be very small and would not sway any candidate. You see the picture?

We can make them lose seats. Progressives made HRC lose. Don't forget it.
