Asked what he would say to supporters who feel betrayed by Democrats, Durbin, who supported the shutdown showdown and is the original author of 2001 legislation to shield this group of immigrants, said, “I’m sorry.”
LOL I'm sorry has been used how many times on us since 2001?

Oh ok. Then how about growing a spine, whip up those votes and not move forward with another CR until CHIP, CSRs, hurricane relief, and a daca fix are done?

Democrats are so frustrating. Who gave shit to the Republicans when they shut the government down in 2011? Who gave a shit when McConnell sat down on Merick Garland? The republicans won the house and kept the senate, why can’t they fight for these issues like they did for ACA back in 09/10? Democrats need to fight like the republicans do for what they want. Motherfuckers rammed their tax bill through in a couple months.

We get a different story every day. The story will have five different versions with anonymous sources, 'advocates' who get briefs - again anonymous- and we have yet to hear from Schumer and Pelosi. Senator Durbin is not the minority whip.

This is very poor strategy.

In all fairness, all the senators publicly speaking on this article are involved in talks. They are not anonymous sources.
