Republicans don't want to correct course. Next month we are going to get bullshit demands to save Dreamers from them. Republican Party can do us a favor and destroy their own party and then rebuild without the racist members.

dems are falling apart at the seams, and you guys think they'll find a way to take control of the senate and house??
literally how.
Literally how? Trump is the most unpopular president in history in their first year. That's why a Dem just won an Alabama senate seat. I understand Moore was an awful candidate, but this wouldn't had happened without Trump.

Also, Dems might be unpopular, but the GOP are far more.

he's been unpopular since the elections.
a dem won in alabama because they still have some decency and common sense + moore was a terrible candidate.
every news outlet pretty much agrees that if strange had been the opponent the seat wouldn't have even gotten coverage because it'd be a landslide win for strange.
just because the gop is unpopular doesn't mean it's a good sign for dems.
especially when dems have neolib candidates again.
this isn't even considering the plans bannon and co have against establishment repubs.
im pretty sure a populist republican would do better than an establishment neo-lib.
hell dems losing a lot of seats is just as realistic as them winning a lot.

Republicans might get a supermajority in the Senate next year.

If Dems cave in next month, we'll be lucky to get Bridge Act

Well, Flake is probably the only R that actually sounds like an intelligent asshole though

If you look at the races they will definitely pick up more seats in the Senate

I hope Dean Heller goes down and I'm also putting some hope on Beto because I want the Canadian Cuban out. Plus I don't think Corker and Flake's seats are completely safe for Republicans.
I understand the point that Dems could lose some incumbents and I think it is kind of unlikely that they will take back the Senate. But I don't think they are going to do terrible enough that the Republicans will get 60 seats.

"Republicans" are not bad, the issue concerns populism rhetoric, leadership and the stymie of hiding behind an unwritten rule(Hastert-rule). The aforementiond have stymied any effort to reform immigration rules outside of enforcement more than anything.
