They can definitely change the law but I don't know if they can change the rules. The extensions on H-1B past 6 years come from provisions of AC21. They probably have some leeway but rules can't go against the law.

LOL, this is hilarious. There are no Americans left that can do STEM jobs. They would need to spend billions and billions on STEM programs at universities to be able to meet this shortage. And even then, there is no guarantee that lazy Americans would be willing to go to college.

As far as getting rid of half a million H1-B workers, it will not happen. Democrats and Republicans ultimately serve corporations. These corporations will not let them do this.
