March 5th was just a fictitious dateline. You still keep your work permit until it expires. Technically DACA was killed on Oct 5th of 2017. March 5th was just a deadline Trump gave to Congress regarding DACA.

You are allow to keeping working and living in United States until your DACA status expires. After that, back to the shadow unless you can find other ways to adjust your status.

I wonder what strategies the immigration groups are going to use now? To be honest, I'm only expecting Trump to "extend" Daca now... it's hard to see anything else getting done. You are protected until your DACA expires, which should match with your EAD. So if it expires next year you are good, but if it expires on march 5th, then yeah you could be arrested at that point if you get pulled over, and they ask for your papers, and you are not in a sanctuary city.

Trump is NOT going to extend DACA. That would mean a new executive order on an act he had said was unconstitutional and it would also anger his base. The judge’s ruling could be his ticket way out but he has already tweeted he’s against it and his department of justice is already looking into blocking the judge’s decision.
