We’re about to see how firm conservatives and defense hawks are.

GOP leadership wants to just pass this CR.

Meadows is saying conservatives will push for the cromnibus, with a fallback position of passing extra money for defense anomalies.

Asked what happens if GOP leadership says no to defense cromnibus or Plan B of funding some defense anomalies in a CR, Mark Meadows says, “I’m sure we’ll be writing a different story.”

Why would they ever say no? Non-story, they'll get the votes.
