Democrats complained that the special power could be used to spring a controversial immigration vote on them and, in turn, offered a motion to make sure the procedural leeway applies only to funding bills.

“I can understand bringing up a spending measure if this doesn’t pass. We’re just worried about reports of immigration bills and other things that I think we would like more than a day to be able to consider it because you control all the votes,” Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) said. “I think we would feel better if we could restrict this.”
Sounds like it might be the Goodlatte bill?

It seems like it is. But I mean if they are preparing for a vote over the weekend, then I don’t see why they couldn’t vote for the senate bill.

Sounds like they're trying to negotiate with the freedom caucus.

The Goodlatte/Labrador bill is ALL the GOP wishes of CIR for a 3yr permit that does not even cover all eligible Dreamers.

Nice try. Durbin/Graham's deal can pass. Hold the line, not just for Dreamers, but for Chip, Veterans, Seniors, schools, etc.

Again: Our list for your list.
