Gop wants to shut down the government over something 87% of americans agree with, and that's giving dreamers a path towards citizenship.
GOP will you let your racist ways get in the middle of funding our government? and threatening to crowd out the needs of veterans, military families, opioid treatment centers and every other American who relies on the federal government?

that's the way i see it

Furthermore, McConnell and Cornyn refused to consider a short-term (Meaning < a week) CR (https://twitter.com/JakeSherman/stat...82740940939264) that has been floated by Sen. Schumer (D-NY) and others.

I don't think Schumer necessarily thinks that the Republicans can be trusted to have a few more days. It just takes pressure off dems who can say that they proposed a way to keep the government open.

What if they say it passed the house but didn't pass the senate because of dems? I thought it didnt need to pass the house as well for dems to have leverage.

Do you guys remember doing your essays a night before they were due? Well, that's exactly what congress is doing right now.

I got a C in a class once because I turned a paper in late. If I have to deal with the consequences, they better too.
