The sticking point must be semi legalization of parents and aged out dreamers.

Dems should do DACA only for now.

Or else Trump/GOP won't move.

Dems will have wasted all of their political capital if this continues.

Legalize DACA only, and give him the wall.

Dems need to get out of this mess soon with something to show for.

GOP leadership leaks to reporters background of a 3 week CR with “promise on DACA” - but this is a meaningless bluff. There are “DACA bills” that are DOA and come with a 40% cuts to legal immigration.

Don't Blink, DEMs!

There was a thought a few hrs ago that McConnell & others may try to do some requests regarding a CR or timing. But those plans never materialized. That means that the sides are scrambling offstage to try to get an agreement

Day 1 of government shutdown nearing complete. But the House & Senate are now out. The Senate returns at 1 pm et Sunday. The House returns at 2 pm et Sunday.

As one lawmaker put it, a government shutdown over the weekend is kind of like playing with the house’s money in the casino. It’s one thing to do the grandstanding over the wknd. But things get real as much of the federal workforce could well be furloughed Monday morning.

Know this: Either they get a deal tomorrow night or very early Monday morning to re-open the government…or the government is likely to remain shuttered for a long time

This, just all of this sucks ass!!!! With all of the developments of the last week, I don’t think there is any hope of getting anything done. I am mentally drained, my heart hurts with every hateful comment from the right. One year, that’s all I have left and I will try to make the best of it. Whatever happens, happens.

I'm feeling so confident we are gonna get relief. ATLEAST daca recipients. I would be worried if I was an aged out dreamer or came in late.

Dont give up!! Something has to come out of all this, I mean the government of the United States of America is shut down over us. I know the hateful comments can get to you sometimes but just know that it comes from ignorant and hateful people but the majority of America support us. Stay strong!!

I just heard a cnn reporter that the meeting the democrats had today, they came out more unified than yesterday. This is a good sign that they are not backing down until we get something.
