Lol, all this so the House can pass the Goodlatte bill and then have it fail in the Senate. Why even bother? Just deport us already.

I'm guessing he means among the group of moderates that are discussing it. Schumer has said nothing yet, though.

No. 2 Senate Democrat Durbin says Democrats need some assurance the House will feel pressure to take up a Senate-passes immigration bill to move forward @burguessev

Ryan and the Freedom Cuckus are backing the Goodlatte bill. It would be foolish to think they would back any other bipartisan bill. How do you get an assurance like that?

@ChadPergram

Multiple senators from both sides indicate that McConnell & Schumer will talk

Durbin says things are still "fluid," but he likes what he is hearing from the bipartisan group that has been meeting for several days. @foxreports

I trust you Durbin and Schumer

Call me crazy but I don't like this one bit. We all know the GOP isn't serious about DACA. We give them an extension they will add the Hurricane relief into the spending bill and the Democrats lose all leverage. The next shut down won't be as easy as everyone may all think.

Just spoke with @JeffFlake. He says the outline of the deal presented to McConnell is "to move the commitment to go to immigration—to move it sooner, prior to Feb. 8."

A hard commitment? "A motion to proceed."

If that;s what it is, then that's not bad.
