Then, McConnell will decide on whether to bring the debated bill to a vote after Feb. 8, then it will be up to the House and POTUS to decide what to do.

Dems will not know if their bill will be voted on by Feb. 8, but if they are not happy with the progress, they can vote again to shut down the government.

I don't know if I'm 100 percent right on this. (https://twitter.com/jonfavs/status/955245387597594624)
@StevenTDennis has more on this but until we don't hear from SChumer who knows.

I'm not liking this..

Merkley on possible commitment on immigration: “There’s been a lot of promises made to different senators that have not been followed through on by the majority leader, so I would be very leery of anything that wasn’t extremely, extremely clear and detailed”

Interesting: @JohnCornyn just now: “I’m a little more optimistic” shutdown may end tonight. (No specific news, just his feeling)

Also, Feb. 8 deal isn't as bad as it looks...gives Democrats and senators like Flake and Graham another leverage to shut down the government completely.
Wouldn't that leave them in a worse spot though? They will say they are holding people hostages when their demands aren't met or something like that.. hours seem like days nowdays

It looks like after the meeting no deal yet. The WH is the problem. Racist miller and kelly are the ones running the WH.
